NOTICE: Mosquito Spraying on Sept 3, 2019
Posted on 09/03/2019

Dear School Community;

The Natick Board of Health in collaboration with the Central Mass Mosquito Control Project will spray the following school grounds to lower the risk of people encountering EEE (Eastern Equine Encephalitis) infected mosquitoes in those specific areas. Although Natick remains at a MODERATE risk for EEE, this spraying is being out of an abundance of caution with regard to the risk of EEE.

The following school grounds will be sprayed at approximately 9:00PM tonight:

  • Brown School
  • Kennedy School
  • Wilson School*
  • Natick HS

We have posted this message because the Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act requires parents, staff, and students to receive the Massachusetts Pesticide Bureau Consumer Information bulletin whenever pesticide applications are being made on the property of your school, daycare center, or school age child care program. This bulletin is being provided to you along with a Standard Written Notification form and a Pesticide Specific Factsheet. Please see links to the informational documents provided by the Board of Health.

Per the Control Project, the fields will be ready to use the next day (tomorrow) after spraying.

Any questions regarding this spraying, EEE, and overall health-related questions should be directed to the Natick Board of Health.

Thanks for your attention to this.
