Healthy School Updates
The NPS Hockey program has been cleared by the Natick Board of Health to resume play. Below is the letter with more information.
Mask Breaks
Mask breaks indoors are allowed with distancing and plexiglass parameters. The Natick Board of Health has evaluated the manner of execution of these breaks and has allowed them. However, building principals prioritize outdoor mask breaks whenever possible.
Valentine's Day
In collaboration with the dept. of public health we have been able to advise principals how students can safely share Valentines. Principals will advise you of this in their blasts in the coming weeks, but I wanted you to know, so you could plan with your students. Whether your 16 or 6, everyone loves getting a nice note--and we can do so safely!
Pooled Testing
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has launched a possible 6-week free trial for a pooled testing program to roll out in the coming months. We will continue to aggressively explore this addition to our health and safety program and update the community through school committee meetings and regular updates.
NEWNatick Board of Health Metric Dashboard Changes
Newly enacted Board of Health Metrics for further nuance in our work to keep schools safe. Voted 1/11/21 by the Board of Health. These metrics revise our color-coded "bubbles" dashboard (click here to view the dashboard). We are pleased to see a small downturn in metrics.
