Per MA Department of Public Health, if your child is traveling outside of MA for more than 24 hours they must have a negative COVID-19 test upon their return in order to attend school (or quarantine for 10 days). This does not apply to anyone who is fully vaccinated or <90 days from COVID-19 diagnosis.
Instructions for submitting COVID-19 results:
  • Email results to your school's nurse - Nurse Contact Information
  • If your child is age 10 or under, they do not need a Covid-19 post-travel test; however, parents/guardians must submit their Covid-19 negative test results or proof of their COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Approved Covid-19 tests: PCR or BinaxNow antigen tests only (home testing is not approved at this time)
  • Nurses will clear results between 4p-6p on Sunday 4/25/21. Results received after that time will be cleared on Monday morning in the order they are received
Please do not send your child to school until they have been cleared by the school nurse.
Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe!

Summer Learning Program Registration
Our directors have been hard at work finalizing the last few elements of the summer program and the registration process for 2021!
We have a robust program to offer and look forward to seeing your students in Scholars and/or Enrichment programming in July.
An email will be coming to you with information about the program for this summer on Monday, April 19 — so stay tuned for more to come!
In addition, we will also be including information about our high school student volunteer opportunities with for the Summer Learning Program and the application for students to apply! Please share with your older students, as this is a great way to earn community service hours.
Pooled Testing
All pools in NPS were negative this week.
The Board of Health Mandated pool testing for all students participating in NPS extracurricular activities and athletics that meet live in any fashion at NPS.
The Board of Health also encourages all parents to sign students up as a means to keeping school safe and open this spring. Please do your part and sign up – POOLED TESTING REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS.
We've created an FAQ document to help answer some questions families have about pooled testing in Natick.
One thing that is often asked is the question about quarantine and close contacts in positive pools. Participation in pooled testing does not automatically make your child a close contact of a potentially infected person in their pool. Contact tracing is conducted by school Health Services nurses, and they will make people aware of the requirement to quarantine.
Additionally, we hope you take a moment to watch this instructional video with a 2nd-grader demonstrating how nasal swabs are collected.
We thank Natick Town Meeting for approving our FY 22 Budget last evening with a 126-1-1 vote of support. I am so pleased with this outcome supporting our teacher pay at a level standard, additional staff for KMS, ELL and theater, and ensuring we make a strong COVID recovery. I am especially pleased that after 9 years of asking for math specialists at the elementary school, the positions are finally funded. These positions will accelerate our recovery in math learning loss in the coming years.
I am grateful for the partnership with our town finance team and leadership.
I hope all families enjoy some good times and rest during break.
