School Choice

On May 10, 2021 the Natick School Committee voted to remain a school choice district. However we will not accept applications for the 2021/2022 school year due to enrollment and budget concerns.

Information About Schools Choice in Natick

The Natick School Committee has voted to be a Massachusetts School Choice District. Determination for allowing students to attend the Natick Public Schools under School Choice is determined on an annual
basis. Factors determining that decision include:

  • The availability of seats/space in the school/grade requested;
  • The class sizes at the grade levels of enrollment;
  • That enrollment of the student will not have an adverse impact on the schools’ budget;
  • The effect on the student of enrollment, if it is to be at a time other than the beginning of a
    school year; and
  • Whether an appropriate educational program and current school resources for the student exist
    in the schools, provided that the education of students with disabilities remains the financial
    responsibility of the city or town in which the student’s parent(s) or legal guardian resides.
