Upcoming Adjustments to Program and Service Fees - SY25-26

We remain committed to providing high-quality experiences for participating students–while staying fiscally responsible, reducing personnel cuts, and looking ahead to the sustainability of our programs. Thanks to your support of the FY26 override, Natick Public Schools is in a stronger position to preserve the programs and services that matter to our families.

In order to help our families plan for the upcoming school year, the district is providing details regarding our School Committee-approved fee adjustments for the 2025-26 school year in several areas, including athletics, transportation, after school tuition, and Pre-K tuition, and rentals.

Several district fees have been adjusted with the following increases for the 2025-2026 school year (FY26) at Natick Public Schools:

NEW FEE STRUCTURE FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2025-2026

Program

Increase

Notes

ATHLETICS - TIERED FEE STRUCTURE

Majority of NHS Sports

$50

Family Cap is $825-1350 (depending on the sport played).

Hockey, Skiing, Football, Swimming & Diving Teams

$100

Unified Sports and Middle School Team

$25

AFTER SCHOOL ENROLLMENT

Natick ASAP (After School Only)

12% increase for all enrollments (2, 3, 4 or 5 day options)

PRE-K ENROLLMENT

Pre-K Tuition

7% increase for all enrollment options

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation - Bus Fee Per Participant

$25

Family Cap is $450

Please note that our building rental fees will also see increases, which helps to offset the maintenance and utility costs involved in keeping the buildings open when school is not in session. All fee changes for services starting during the next school year (from July 1, 2025 onward) go into effect immediately. Any fees pertaining to the current 2024-25 school year services remain unchanged.

Our fall budget planning for FY26 was conducted with these fees in mind. We are able to keep our fee increases modest as a result of the passage of the override. Most Natick Public School fees have not increased over the past five to 10 years. We recognize that any small cost increases can have an impact, and, along with School Committee recommendations, we were mindful of that as we finalized our fee structure.
