PickUp Patrol Instructions

Using PickUp Patrol

**Important Notice for the 2024-2025 School Year** All default dismissal plans must be set up by Monday, August 26th for the safety of all students.

We need to know where your child should be dismissed at the end of each day.

Natick’s elementary schools use PickUp Patrol to manage dismissal plans. This app simplifies the process, eliminating the need for notes or phone calls.

All New NPS Families: Look for a "Welcome to PickUp Patrol" email with login instructions. Please contact your school’s main office if you have not received this email.

Returning Families: PickUp Patrol is now available for the 2024-2025 School Year.

Please set up your child’s default dismissal plan for this school year. Last year's plans are no longer in the system, so you must update them. Go to PickUp Patrol to sign in and complete your plan for 2024-2025.

How PickUp Patrol Works

First, Set Up Your Default Plan. This plan determines your child’s regular dismissal each day. You can make changes for specific days if needed. Default plans must be set up on a computer using the web version of PickUp Patrol. You cannot set up default plans from a phone or tablet. Once set up, the default plan will apply every day. You can adjust it as needed throughout the year.

Making Plan Changes: To make changes to your Default Plan, you can use PickUp Patrol on your smartphone or a computer. To make a dismissal change, log in, select a date, choose your child, and select the Dismissal Option. Click submit. (Any change applies for one day only and does not alter your default plan.)

Additional Options

Absences: Log in and select "ABSENT."

Tardies: Use "LATE ARRIVAL" to report if your child will arrive late.

Early Dismissals: Use this option for early pickups before the end of the school day.

**Note** Changes can be submitted in advance, but must be made before 1:15 pm on the day of the change. A confirmation email will be sent for each change.

Getting the PickUp Patrol App

The PickUp Patrol App is accessed through the web, not an app store.

You can add the link to PickUp Patrol to your smartphone’s home screen. (For specific instructions on adding any web link to your home screen, search online for guidance based on your phone’s exact model.)

PickUp Patrol will only work after you have completed your online registration using the link sent by your school. If you need technology assistance with PickUp Patrol, please contact your school’s Main Office directly.

Parents and staff members: Please email communications@natickps.org if you have any suggestions for these instructions. This guidance was adapted from earlier documentation provided by PickUp Patrol & the NPS Elementary Schools.
